Here's a still image of what you should see.

It's not that bad  ;D  I've seen the bird move around frequently.

You're right about hanging on all night as it doesn't seem very restful. Maybe I should put some Velcro inside

And did you see the bird move around in the last minute or so?

No, drat it - my sister-in-law called from Phoenix and the screen went dark while I was talking to her. When I checked the cam again, the bird looks like he/she is in the same position.

I can see that it's rearranged itself, because the feathers are all different.

Would it be better to be a woodpecker and have your life videotaped, or hear the phone ring every 3 seconds?  I think I'd pick the bird....

Again last night an Acorn Woodpecker spent the entire night in the house and left about 6:30 am.

Yes this makes three nights in a row.

During the day I moved the camera towards the opening so we can see a little more of the bird as it hangs on and when they enter or leave the house.

The opening or entrance to the house is at the top of the screen image you're viewing.

Still hanging out at 6:00 am; I think you have a serious renter here, not just a lookee-loo.

The bird isn't in the house right now, but if he/she were to visit right now, there is some kind of creepy bug crawling up the wall.  Wouldn't this be supper?

This afternoon some bird/creature got inside the house and hit the camera. I replayed video and could not tell what moved the camera but it drastically changed.

I had to put up a ladder, remove the top to the acorn house and reposition the camera. That was close to to the time that the bird usually occupies the house. I'm confident the bird will be back.
