From the look of the leaves, I would think it is "milk weed," but I don't know the official name of it. Notice the 'veins' under the leaves.

Mensjanitor - where did you go?  Sedona is beautiful everywhere!!!  Red rocks galore.  This is off the road heading towards Cottonwood.  It is Red Rock Canyon, where they filmed many many old movies....

Here is a shot of Oak Creek Canyon after a huge thunderstorm.  It is normally beautiful clear water but it is red from the hard rain.  This is near where the creek dumps into the Verde River.  This was taken in Page Springs.

Yes, it is well over five feet tall.  I am dying to know what it is called.  Was going to rip it out a while back, before it grew the flower stalk.  But then I decided to leave it and let it grow to see how it turned out.  If anyone figures out what it is let me know.

It's MULLEIN.  Pull it out before it flowers or you will be sorry.  After years of pulling them out and almost getting rid of them, I let two flower beautifully one year and I'll be sorry for that for years.   That is unless you and your neighbors want to completely landscape in Mullein.

You can resize right in photobucket.  Try 75%.

Thanks it is showing correctly on my screen at home, I was on a loaner laptop at work and I guess the screen was too small.
