Well, upon testing, it appears that the Webshots links are not working reliably, so I'll go open a photobucket account, copy them there and update.......... Sorry.

Hey PinonMesaJon,

Your little picture works so that is something! I went through the same thing when I first started to post pics. I did what you are going to do and started using Photobucket and it was smooth sailing after that!

Your scrub jay is showing up!

Here's the first one...........
Wanted to attempt to post a picture here on the forum using Webshots. This is a cropped shot from my new Canon A710 IS, auto focus, continuous shooting mode. I shot this through my dining room window. If I'm successful, I'll post some more from this set.

Thanks. I don't understand why the Webshots URL's don't work consistantly, but instead of trying to troubleshoot it, I'll just stick with what works for everyone else.

Now that I've got my Photobucket account set up, here are a couple more from this morning. This time a Stellar's Jay:

Wow! This is easy! Don't even have to use CTRL-C in photobucket! Click on the URL and it's automatically copied to the clipboard. Cool!  ;D

Funky,
If, by pixelated, you mean that the pictures sometimes appear "rough", what you're probably seeing is what is known as noise in digital images. Do you have your ISO set to AUTO? If so, when your use that ultra zoom on your S3, you're narrowing your field, so the camera may be picking a higher ISO. Check out the ISO on the images in question and see if it's over 100 or 200. You can force the camera to maintain a lower ISO to prevent this. Of course, you'll have a longer exposure time.

Yes that was the problem... Mine has a range of 80 to 800 ISO... Just took 2 shots one in 100 and one in 800 and the 800 one was "noisy".

I heard a loud rumble so I grabed my camera and ran out of the house and found this.

I took about 6 and those were the best... I'm just glad I got one good picture

Funky,
What shutter speed and focal length were you at on these shots? The stopped rotors have me wondering........

Great photos, Funky!  I don't know anything about F stops or speeds or anything else, but to see a helicopter in mid-air, with rotors stopped, is amazing!

Oh it wasn't the camera.... I had the helicopter shut down its engines for a few seconds  ;D I was amazed when I uploaded them to the computer and the rotors were stopped. My other cam made blurs out of helicopters rotors.

Thanks. Sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't; it's not consistant. I copied the shots to Photobucket and reposted them from there. I will continue to use that service from now on.
