I know nothing of filters and stuff, in fact...I've had my camera for almost 5yrs and use Auto Pilot 99% of the time.
The rest of the settings confuse my tumbled mind way too much.

That's just about when I got my camera! Still don't know anything! I have seen some pictures that were taken with simply having that filter on it. Pretty amazing! It really looks like it makes a difference. I just wish the people who had taken these pics had taken another one without it just to show exactly how much better or worse they compare.
I got a nikon d70 and pretty much know and do what you do. Auto and it's good enough. But after seeing some of these awesome pictures it makes me wonder what my pictures could really look like (OR COULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE!) with just adding a simple filter.
My friend told me to always use a tripod because you have to close the apt thing and it makes the shutter stay open longer. Which if you held it in your hand it would blur. Can't wait to get one!

Sedona is my favorite place on earth... I used to live near it when I was very young, too young to enjoy the beauty at the time. It is my dream to move back there... Here are some of my shots from there:

Sedona is amazing. One of my favorite rides is down Oak Creek Canyon and popping out in Sedona. Nice photos

I like these the best.
The clouds in the second one are very nice. The landscape looks calm in the foreground but as you look up at the clouds it gets progressively darker and unsettling as you look toward the horizon.
Looks like a storm is on the way!

I also liked the sunset one on your site with the bird passing in front of it.
That's a HUGE camera you got there!

Thank you everyone!!! Fight on, it's a Canon EOS 20D, one of the OLD cameras.. there is now a 30 and a 40 and a 50 is coming out, but it works... The lens is my BABY, it's a 100-400mm...

When you brought up Sedona, I went hey, those pics are not on my site. So I am uploading all of them now to a Travel page specifically for Sedona, so if you want to check back to my site you can see more...

It is only obvious that Sedona has captured your soul....as you have captured it's beauty. Have you ever been in the AZ Highways Mag or Calendar? If not, you should be.

I didn't look through your whole site, just skimmed around a bit.
I'm a fan of amazing pictures! It's interesting to see how much goes into it. It's pretty much luck with me as to quality. I see some pretty neat stuff while hiking, don't wanna miss anything!

so I have my camera hanging around my neck the whole time. Even then I missed a pic of a bear I encountered once. I froze! And he ran away too fast. So any pictures of wildlife I see, clear ones, must be rare indeed! Your camera looks to come in handy for that. Distant objects. Can't wait to take some time and look at your site. What's with that eye over there?
