I sent the page to my Meteorologist friend John Fredericks. He  indicated that they were "mammatus" clouds.

I recreated an earlier panorama shot with a tripod and ball head. It is about 23 different shots stitched together.  I was able to get rid of most of the geometric distortions with CS4.  Next time I will use a pano head or go the inexpensive route and create an arca swiss style slider. I have been busy doing events, it was fun to try my hand at landscapes again.
