Attention Pinon Mesa Property Owners:
You may have noticed flagging tape appearing around the properties in your neighborhood. This flagging is the beginning stages of a very important project funded by grant money to reduce the threat of wildfire in the Pinon Mesa area.
In cooperation with San Bernardino County Fire Department, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Wrightwood Fire Safe Council, a plan has been prepared to thin the brush and trees on and around properties at no charge to homeowners.
The parcels identified for treatment sit adjacent to the slopes of Pinon Mesa located on the northern end of Orchard Drive, and the north and west side of Easter Drive.
The Wrightwood Fire Safe Council is requesting that you attend a very important meeting to discuss this project. Discussion will include information about the urgent need for the project, project goals, and methods to achieve them.
The meeting will be held at the Wrightwood Community Center on Sunday, November 12 at 2 pm.
This community meeting is open to all residents in order to better understand this fuel reduction plan for the Pinon Mesa area.
