Remodeling Debris

I was reading the back of my dump card and it says "not valid for construction/demolition/remodeling debris".  So if you're doing work on your house (by yourself, no contractor), what do you do with the debris?

You can still take it to the dump, they just charge you to dump it based on how much the load weighs.
