Spend a little extra and get continous gutters. They come right to the house and install them. They don't leak at the seams. Ours work well.

Evenflo (800-570-2681) did ours last summer. They are the seamless type and have a lifetime warranty. Hubby installed some "gutter guards" over the spots that get the old pine needles. Seemed to have worked great for what little rain/snow we had this past year...

I used them as well.... Great gutters but if you hire them, make sure they clean up all the cut pieces....

I'm also in the market for replacement of some of our rain gutters. Anyone know if the above mentioned company is still in business and servicing Wrightwood?

They installed mine about three weeks ago but I would not recommend them.

Mine are fine other than a few places but we just put some sticky goop in them.... I don't think you can expect perfection from any contractors.....

evenflow did ours also and whenever we've had problems they have come out and fixed it quickly.

We had our gutters installed on the 12th just in time for the snow storm on the 15th. Now we are waiting for the run-off ice to melt to see how the gutters perform. Gutter heaters anyone?

Evenflo did our installation, which was rather complicated due to limited areas where we could have down spouts. They were honest and paid attention to details. They did make a couple of mistakes that were noted and corrected. They focused on having a clean looking installation. Our warped fascia boards created a challenge there. Marlo (? the owner) was there for the job which I would highly recommend. He ran the show and ensured the setup was done correctly and details were not overlooked. His guys were decent but I wouldn't want them running the job.

Our raingutters are now blocks of ice. There is snow/ice melt leaking from the endcap seams, as well as over the edge of the gutter, due to the gutters being ice blocks.

Next spring I will install gutter heaters, as well as consider heater strips down the downspouts themselves.

Does anyone have experience with gutter heater elements/wire/heater strips? Recommendations welcomed!

Our rain gutters are also frozen on the north side of house, which is to be expected. Nothing melted here yesterday. I am very disappointed with my installation of rain gutters. They look great but are not working as good as I thought they would. I specifically wanted them installed over the deck and sliding glass door. It turns into an ice rink when it snows. Well... guess where they are leaking, right at the slider on the deck and in a lot more areas. Marlo did not show up during the installation like he said he would. He is supposed to come out when the weather gets better but now that I think about it maybe he should come out now and see what a great job his guys did!

If you put them on, be sure to turn them off in the Spring! I was in a government building where the roof caught on fire in the Summer. Pine needles piled up on the still charged roof heating strips. A warm summer day added just enough heat for the pine needles to ignite. Fortunately a handy hose, fire alarm, and a volunteer fire department saved the building with minimal damage.

Anyone have another recommendation for rain gutters? I called the 800 number listed here about a week ago and and left a message on the recorder. I have not received a call back. Its a bad sign when presales calls are not returned.
