Just wondering if there is another route other than 210-14-138 up here to Phelan. Husband is trying to come home from Rialto! ugh...
does anyone know if a Big Bear route is open?

According to Channel 7 the 330, 18, 173 and 138 are closed.

I'm fairly certain that the I215 northbound to the I15 is open but cannot confirm it.

The only other practical route is 10 east to Palm Springs - 62 north to Yucca Valley - 247 north to 18 east to Victorville

The I215 north bound is open but I don't know for how long, you can see the flames from the fire which is at Little Mountain and Kendall now!

A friend just came through 215 N to 15/138. t is currently open, but subject to change without notice. SB 15 still totally closed.

Ok, thanks guys...I've let him know to try the 215 route. News reports say the N15 is closed up to 138 so i guess he'll have to take some side roads...which he's familiar with, but we'll see what happens.

An ABC reporter was just reporting on the I15 near Glen Helen and said that the fire was being mopped up. The I15 is still closed at this time.
