Does anyone know what the green and yellow helicopter is doing hovering over the west end? Is it a forest service rescue? Its some masterful flying!

If it is a large Sikorsky, it is probably the Los Angeles County Sheriff Rescue helicopter, Air5. Not sure what his mission might be but the Sheriff's Office did purchase the Caltrans yard and they might have been doing some training.

I live here on Cardinal and can only pass along what we saw.

The Sheriff's helicopter came in north of Highway Two and was apparently looking for someone or thing. Made a couple passes and then went in low. We saw a person walking out of
the trees just above the houses. The helicopter then went over the Cal Trans yard and landed.
Maybe 5 minutes later they took off again and went right back to the same area. One person was lowered to the ground and
picked the guy who had been walking out. Both went up on
the same hook. The helicopter made one more pass in the area above the houses and then left the area.

Wish I could pass along more but that's all we know.

Well is could be many things, could be looking at beetle damaged trees, pot farms, run off flows patterns, vacant land to build on, testing electronic ease dropping on the neighbor hood, looking for naked sunbathers on the roofs, gee all sorts of neat stuff.

and some not some neat things like escaped convict, fires, gasp naked sunbathers, Nolena, you better get back inside.

It's gone now but it flew around for at least 30 minutes back and forth.

it landed at the Wrightwood Guest Ranch for a bit. There were video cameras on tri-pods and several people around it when it was on the ground. Maybe it has something to do with the filming in town. There was also an AMR ambulance near it.

the North side of Guffy is really steep, and easy to fall off of... its right next to a trail. I could see how someone could fall over if they indeed, fell off that area.

police action on Betty- according to my neighbor whose mom lives next door to the house with the action.
All I know is a man with a gun, waving it around, just a "scare" overwith now.

40 King was the SBCSD helicopter circling, relaying what they saw to Deputies on the ground.
A male was detained and put into one of the units.
