Beautiful pictures Fight On, Cathy, & Konalvr!

My hubby & I were in NY and had secured tickets to the 911 Memorial a month before we went. It is beautiful. Looking at all those names was overwhelming. Something that I have never seen before was how they listed the names of the victims if they were pregnant, it showed their name, and following "and unborn child."

And to add to what Kona said..

Inspiration point is about 1 or so miles past Mountain High.

And after you've discovered Inspiration Point, keep on going another 1/2 mile or so, and you'll come to Grassy Hollow visitor center.. lots of neat stuff there: http://grassyhollow.net/

The next thing you'll come up to past Grassy Hollow is Vincent Gap. Plenty of parking, and good hiking.

I was up at Grassy Hollow today, walked from the gate near the highway up to Jackson Flat. Lots of neat photo ops on that road. That's about a 2-1/2 mile RT walk, pretty easy.

Inspiration Point is 2 miles from Big Pines, up H2. I've walked that several times, and it only seems like 1 mile on the way down, but more than that on the way up.... You can also walk up Blue Ridge Road from there for more photo ops. Haven't been that way since the storm, the gate is closed so don't know the road condition.

Those were great pics from Inspiration Point, Konaluvr! So clear that day.
