I'm new to the forum and have so enjoyed this topic, as well as the nature one and photos. There are so many wonderful photos with this last one I saw particularly (little girl and dog exploring in Calico)...being the one I'll comment on right now.

I'll be moving up soon to the area and hope to join in with some of my own photos. I might even start early, before I get up there.

Here's another one about 20 minutes later higher up on the the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I am using a Lee #3 ND filter 4x4 attachement and circular polarize filter together. It's hard to meter the light correctly without them. The clouds are so bright the rest of the frame goes away so I used the filters to bring out the dark area detail.

Done with a cheap Canon G-9 point N shoot.

You can see how the clouds have moved in just 20 minutes.
