Maybe that blue container that goes out on trash day.
I'm not sure what you meant.
Anyway, I vaguely recall seeing the "dwarf" house on Twin Lakes in an old Laurel and Hardy movie with Sonja Henny as Snow White. I recall seeing it on a "halicrafters" black and white T.V. in the forties, and the movie was not new, then. Anyone able to verify this ???

I've been fortunate to have been in that house in the 80's as it belonged to a friend of a friend.

One thing I remember about the interior of the house is how small it was. I look forward to seeing additional information about movies the house has been in.

When the grandson comes to visit he always asks to drive by the "Snow White" and "7 Dwarf" house.

tinkbellblonde,
I remember the rockford file shoot, it was a big day for WW. they also shot a Starchky and hutch episode once and maybee even a hardy boys way back if my memory serves me right. Also El Mirage is a well used area. I`ve noticed it in a few differant comercials. Be carefull if you come across a film crew out there you may see more than you want to  :-[.

Ooh....I watched a B flick the other night and there was a scene that looked like it was filmed in the Mormon Rocks area. "It Came From Outter Space" was the name of it?

Didn't they film part of "The Flintstones" down by Mormon Rocks?  You know, the part where the 'burbs were.

I thought that was in that park with the red rocks over off 14.

You may be right, but it sure looked familiar.  Speaking of Wrightwood on film, I'd like to expand the subject just a little if I may.  Don't you find it interesting that in all the old monster movies (like War of the Worlds) everyone evacuated to the San Gabriel Mountains?  Are they saying we're not worth blowing up, or what?

My mom and I were also extras in "The Day The World Ended." I was in a scene where the kids crossed the street, and I was the kid who gave the "nasty stare to the woman that drived by. Also, I was in the scene where they were beating up the kid. They filmed some scenes with me in Wrightwood, and the asked my to go to L.A. to shoot. I happily agreed. 8)

I have been desperately looking for a copy of this movie.

Vazquez Rocks - that's the name of the bunch of rocks off of 14 - and they've filmed a LOT of stuff there....

Anyone know what is going on at the top of Oak and Sparrow?  Looks like a movie set was blocking the roads for the whole day.  I wonder how much longer and who is doing it.  OH, and watch for man-made ice there!

Actually, its directly at Thrush and Oak but either way, watch out for the ice as there are NO warning signs.   The large trucks were absent this morning, but does anyone know what its all about?  And why can they block the roadway all day and night long with their vehicles and props with no traffic redirection or concern for the other residents?  A little info please...

Interesting.... I went by this morning to make sure they weren't using a portion of our property without permission. Sure enough a large boom truck was parked completely on our property without permission.

The film crew had left and a cleanup person was attempting to use steam cleaning for snow & ice removal - without much success.

If the project was done correctly, permits for street closure were acquired through SB County Road Department.

(I haven't checked this afternoon but there was plenty of trash laying around this morning. Discarded coffee cups, clothing, etc.)

Sorry, but I only saw writing on one truck that said something about "ice", and the others were just in the way so I had to detour repeatedly.  Two of my boys walked home past it and a woman told them they were making a video.   No more info than that.
