RE: the question about Clyde Ranch, since channel 7 is focusing on the hot area about midway up Lone Pine Canyon moving up the ridge that separates upper Lytle Canyon, I got a glimpse of the intersection of Lone Pine Canyon Rd. and Lytle Creek Rd and it appeared OK.  I could not see the ranch directly, but it was close.

For anyone familiar with the area, the hottest area of the fire and the area being shown most by Channel 7's covers is in the vicinity of Gobblers Knob.

Based on ABC7 helicopter video the fire is now less than 2000 feet (.37 miles) from the easternmost home on Lone Pine Canyon Rd.

Zoomed out view showing MODIS and VIIRS satellite infrared sensor fire detections of the northwestern front of the fire as of 1:30pm PDT.  The orange line is the published "heat perimeter" from earlier this morning.

Technical info on these satellite sensors:

Based on ABC7 helicopter footage the fire is now approx 1500 feet from the easternmost homes in Wrightwood, a home on Interlaken Dr., burning in the flats at the base of Circle Mountain. However, the wind looks like it's blowing towards the north at the moment and there is a bulldozer cleaning up an existing fire break.  There isn't a lot of hot fire south of homes.  Looks better.

It appeared, FOR NOW, the westward march of the fire stopped in the grass in the flats at the base of Circle Mountain near helicopter hill because of the fire break being cut by the bulldozer.  Waiting on more helicopter footage.   To get your bearings with the photos above, the smoke is blowing due north.

Per ABC7 helicopter footage, the hottest part of the fire is now moving north somewhat parallel to Wright Mountain Rd. and somewhat away from the easternmost homes in Wrightwood and is closing in on Hwy 2.

Reports of power outage in at least some areas of Wrightwood.

This probably explains the internet outages as well.

If you still have power in Wrightwood, please report cross streets for reference.

Joe,
Got calls that people who have interpreted that a house on Interlaken Dr is on fire.
Can you clarify?

Based on ABC7 helicopter footage the fire is now approx 1500 feet from the easternmost homes in Wrightwood, a home on Interlaken Dr., burning in the flats at the base of Circle Mountain. Power went out on lower Heath Creek for about 10 minutes. No internet outage so far. Sprint cell is still down and Verizon cell is still up.
