I had extracted pigments from these for a class awhile back...

A species of Otidea--an Ear Fungus:


Omphalina luteicolor (Orange Conifer Lichen Fungus).  Notice the awesome hairs on the cap:


Unknown species, but cute!  Did I accidentally catch some sunbeams behind them?

I played around with the coloration in order to approximate the look of the old hand-painted postcards of the first half of the 20th century:

We went to SD Zoo last weekend and saw this guy.  He was quite a ways from us and while not the sharpest picture, I like it.  Anyone notice a resemblance to Bob?

My family finally got to get away last weekend for a few days of R&R, so where did we go, Yosemite!!! It was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

My kid & I went there with Bigpines last winter. It was gorgeous! And not really expensive in the winter.
Yosemite is better in the off season.

Yesterday on my way to customers I traveled the 241 to Irvine.  This is the area that burned last year.  It was just beautiful everywhere.

It's so great to see all the green everywhere this time of year! 

We went down into San Diego county via the 15 last weekend. It was gorgeous. There's even green south of Corona. I don't think I've ever seen it green there before......

I have never been to Yosemite, at least I don't remember, I was very young..

You will go crazy in Yosemite!  It is one of the best places on earth   (minus the heavy crowds on holidays).  We went there on  our Honeymoon and make a regular trip (probably been there 30 times).

It's a photographers dream.
