I haven't heard the term DOF since high school photography class - and I took photography in college as well - are you patronizing us SD?

All that is old from film is still the standard in digital...That term is used all the time in professional circles as well as amateur ones. Many photographers use the broader term DOF when they specifically mean selective focus, differential focus or shallow focus. This is how I was using the term. As far as being patronizing...no ...just enjoying and trying to be encouraging. I know the amount of effort , passion and creativity that can go into photography.

Hi neighbors! Laughlinguy is now a Phelan guy & my sunsets now look like this...

I love it! I've gained Joshua trees and hearing peacocks throughout the day, and lost 103 degrees at 9 in the morning. See you all around town.
