Any word on Waterman or Buckhorn? Looks like they're gone based on the InciWeb map.

I just saw a SB County Sheriff's evac warning that sounded like it could be for Wrightwood. Yes/no?

I got an evacuation warning, not an order. If you need extra time.

I just received a robo call from the SB Sheriff's Dept. telling me I'm in a evacuation warning zone. The instructions for leaving were for Wrightwood not Pinon Hills. Any info appreciated.

I just came home via Largo Vista.  No flame visible but there is orange glow visible south of Punchbowl.

EVACUATION WARNING!

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has just issued an EVACUATION WARNING for the communities of Wrightwood and Pinon Hills. The alert states: "There is a fire approaching your area. You are now subject to an Evacuation Warning. There is a potential threat to life and/or property. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock, should leave now. Evacuation route from Wrightwood is Highway 2 to Phelan or Highway 138 to I-15 if needed."

And now we wait. I hope we don't have to go, but if we do this will be my 3rd evacuation. Was I this nervous on the other 2? I'm not sure I was.

I think there are two factors in this decision.  First, they don't have the ability to stop the fire.  It's going where it wants in places that haven't burned.  Second, weather.  I think these bursts of cooler weather are going to bring windy conditions.  It will be out of the south as usual, then this weekend it will pick up and turn out of the southwest.  The first little burst of santa anas has been mostly taken out of the forecast, leaving just 9/28 for the next santa ana change in wind direction.

So, in short, the fire is to Wrightwood's west, and the wind will be out of that general direction for a little while.

From 9/17 inciweb notes

Remarks
Containment dates are dependent on resource availability. Currently have limited resources for the fire. Critical need for resources continue.
